Specialist Netball

Introduction

The aim of the Approved Specialist Netball Program is to provide a high quality specialised course of study from Year 7-10 for students who exhibit a special talent in their chosen sport. Our Approved Specialist Netball Program provides a specialized course of study for Years 7-10 students and boasts highly technical equipment to aid the individual development of athletes.

Students enrolled in the Netball Program develop life and learning skills such as leadership, teamwork, fair play, competitiveness, responsibility and community involvement in the context of a team sport.

Students are contracted to benchmark academic and behavioural standards which clarify the conditions for maintaining a competitive standing in the Program. The Netball program is designed to extend each student’s individual skills while providing a balanced high quality education. Entry into the program provides tertiary and non-tertiary bound students the opportunity to study an Approved Specialised Sports Program.

Selection into the Program is made on the basis of positive academic results combined with the necessary skills and experience in Netball. Registered students will be required to attend a selection day where they will need to demonstrate their Netball and sit an aptitude test.
